Rebekah Goes to the Dentist

On Monday, Rebekah went to the dentist for the first time. She was a champ and did great. The biggest hit was the whole concept of the tooth fairy. On the way home, she asked me to tell stories about the tooth fairy so I made some up. Then when we got home, she told me she wanted to go to sleep until she was 5 so she could be old enough to lose a tooth and have the tooth fairy come. At lunch time, she asked me to dress up as the tooth fairy, so I put on some fairy wings, held a wand and frolicked around the kitchen. It was a big success because she ate her whole peanut butter and honey sandwich which I cut into the shape of "fairy wings."

Vacation Bible School Report Card

Rebekah has really enjoyed Vacation Bible School this summer. She went last year, but this was the first year she got to be in the singing at the church service with all the ages. She made a great new friend named Allie, who is the girl in blue on the right of her. We wanted to share her performance with everyone (like the proud parents we are) and ask you if her acting skills are noticeable. We had a number of folks tell us she stole the show (and she still is performing whenever we play the music from VBS). It is so great to see her enjoying church and learning about God.

We're Back...

It sure has been a long time since we have blogged!!! I have come to realize (and accept) that blogging, downloading pictures, etc. are not my favorite things to do. :) Now that Bryant is mobile, I have found it much more challenging to find the time to get to the computer especially since I cannot do it while he is awake (he loves cords and buttons). Since it has been since mid-December that I have posted, here are "snapshots" of our last few months. Hopefully it will not be another 5 months before I blog again. :)
