Birthday Girl

Rebekah's Birthday was Friday, September 18. Her Mimi and Grandpa were already in town to celebrate. Mimi made her a double layered cake and Grandpa and Nelson decorated it. We sang happy birthday to her and then let her do what she wanted with the cake. As you can see from the photos, our cautious little girl was not sure what to do with the cake. When she finally smashed her little hands into the frosting, she was quite disturbed by the sticky feeling. While some kids might have tried to lick the icing, Bekah proceeded to trying to shake it off. I think she might have been slightly traumatized by her first cake experience. However, we got a kick out of watching.
